USDF endeavors to use the power of performing arts – especially dance – to bring joy to the underprivileged, specially challenged, visually impaired and others. Bringing a smile on their faces and adding a bounce in their stride, USDF takes the mission of help them ”Feel the Beat‘.

Trained instructors from USDF use the power of performing arts to heal. The therapeutic effect of dance helps students to improve their self-esteem and confidence.
Sessions are individually designed for the specific targets based on their response and requirements. USDF is currently working with the following population:

  • Autistic
  • Down syndrome
  • Mixed group
  • Lesser privileged
  • Others (HIV affected / infected, senior citizen)

Each dance therapy session includes:

  • Warm up
  • Dance activity
  • Dance routine
  • Cool down session
  • Closure

The instructors follow assessment tools that help them analyze and measure the degree of improvement in each child and their response to the dance classes.
